On Friday 16th May eighteen Year 7 and 8 athletes competed in the South Sefton Quad Kids Athletics event. All of the students performed the 100m, 800m, long jump and howler throw. The events tested a wide range of athletic ability with the pupils gaining points for their distances and times. The overall winners in the Year 8 Girls competition were The Hawthorne’s. All of the other year groups competed well and put in 100% effort. Owen Boyle (Year 7) won the spirit of the games award for showing grit and determination in his own performances and his supportive attitude towards his peers. The Year 8 Girls Tia McCullough, Chloe Worthington, Abbie and Taylor Smith will represent South Sefton at the Merseyside Summer Games in July.
The individual winners for the Year 7 and 8 Girls events were Bobbi Smith and Taylor Smith.
